Cyrrus is delighted to announce that the Company has successfully transitioned to the ISO 9001:2015 standard having been audited against the new standard in October 2017 and awarded the accreditation. Cyrrus has operated a Quality Management System (QMS) that complies with the ISO 9001:2008 standard since 2011.

Cyrrus works in a highly regulated environment, one which requires its procedures and processes to be both robust and able to demonstrate clear evidence of compliance with industry standards. The new standard employs the ‘Process Approach’, which incorporates the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) Cycle and Risk-Based Thinking:

  • The PDCA Cycle enables Cyrrus to ensure that its processes are appropriately resourced and managed and that opportunities for improvement are identified and acted upon. Cyrrus has created Quality Improvement Projects (QIPs) to specifically focus on key business areas that may require improvement and these will follow the PDCA Cycle;
  • Risk-Based Thinking enables Cyrrus to determine the factors that could cause its processes and its QMS to deviate from desired results. Identified Risk is actively managed using preventative controls and mitigations. Some identified risks may highlight opportunities to offer additional services to customers.

The QMS is an integral part of the Company’s business processes and we have invested in staff training and workshops to ensure that the Company and its suppliers work co-operatively to meet the required standard.
